My greatist influences are Vincent Van Gogh and Thelonious Monk, who worked out of the same bag.
One of the greatest pleasures I know is to take ordinary things and turn them into art. The fact that one can do this makes life interesting, because as you move through the day you come across different instances that make you want to use them in the art making process. It is the richest life imaginable that has not let me down for over forty years; any day can be astonishing and many are.
I am glad to be able to share this, and hope there are some surprises in it for you too.
It is not illustrational, it is a configuration of formal thinking inseparable from sacred consciousness. Transfiguration of realist painting.
Thank you
